About Me
With more than 25 years of experience serving families, business owners, and real estate investors, Scott Parks has built his career around one simple philosophy: helping people make informed decisions with confidence and clarity.
Before entering the retirement planning industry, Scott founded and grew a successful property management company, where he worked closely with clients to protect assets, manage risk, and plan for the future. Through those relationships, he discovered that many people had unanswered questions about retirement income, taxes, Medicare, Social Security, and whether they were truly on track to achieve their long-term goals.
Today, Scott helps individuals and families evaluate their current retirement strategy, identify opportunities they may not have considered, and gain greater clarity about their financial future. Rather than beginning with a particular product or predetermined solution, Scott believes every recommendation should start with understanding each family’s goals, values, and concerns. He is passionate about educating clients, asking thoughtful questions, and helping them make informed decisions with confidence.
Because Scott works with multiple highly rated financial institutions, he is not limited to the solutions of any one company. This independent approach allows him to focus on identifying strategies that best align with each client’s unique objectives instead of fitting clients into a single company’s product offerings. His commitment is to serve as an advocate for the families he works with by putting their interests first.
Scott believes every client deserves honest conversations, personalized attention, and education before making important financial decisions. Whether someone is approaching retirement or simply wants a second opinion on their current strategy, he is committed to helping families prepare for the future with greater confidence and peace of mind.
Scott grew up in Pleasanton, California. After being diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at the age of four, he later relocated to Arizona to receive specialized medical care, where he ultimately underwent a life-saving double lung transplant. That experience profoundly shaped his perspective on gratitude, resilience, and the importance of preparing for life’s unexpected challenges.
Today, Scott and his wife, Ashley, have made their home in Minnesota, where they enjoy the slower pace of life and spending time together as a family and tending to their mini farm. They love watching their son pursue his passion for hockey in the “State of Hockey” and are grateful for the opportunity to build both their family life and Scott’s practice in the Midwest.
Scott is proud to partner with JBP Group and remains committed to serving every client with integrity, stewardship, and genuine care while helping families pursue a confident and secure retirement.
